Automatic Impact Recovery
When an impact happens, the rear derailleur features SHIMANO’s new automatic impact recovery function. This allows the derailleur to pivot away from the trail obstacle to lessen the force of the impact, and then it snaps right back into place.
Durability
Ready to take on the toughest trails, the rear derailleur is built with a wide-link structure, an alloy solid pulleys for added durability. It utilizes SHIMANO’s new chain stabilizing technology with a dual-spring design to reduce the chance of skipping or dropping your chain. This comes thanks to a higher chain tension for better chain wrap and retention.
Battery Protection
The XT wireless Di2 derailleur is powered by a long-lasting rechargeable battery that’s tucked away inside the derailleur body. It is sealed off and very secure.
Cranks To Tackle Any Ride
The XT crankset perfectly balances rigidity and weight, using HOLLOWTECH II alloy forging and a standard 24 mm steel spindle to create a crankset that's strong enough to survive burly impacts, while remaining light enough for XC use. Offered in lengths from 160 - 175 mm and with all sizes of the reinforced SM-CR86 direct-mount chainring, there is a specification of FC-M8200 for every trail rider.
A Shifter That Feels Like Home
The shifter feels instantly natural out of the box, but can also be moulded to fit any hand, thanks to its familiar fit and evolved adjustability design. Multiple shift modes, like hold-down multi-shift and 2-step multi-shift, offer versatility and precision, while the tactile click prevents mis-shifts and a tune able third button allows for additional system tuning or third-party connection.
A Smooth Under Presurre Cassette
The XT Cassette represents the evolution of HYPERGLIDE + shifting. New cassette cog tooth profiles improve shifting under high load while remaining smooth, fast, and durable. It is also MICRO SPLINE compatible and built with steel and alloy cogs to optimize weight and durability.
